METHODOLOGY

All our services are based on the principles of three important disciplines: Service
Design Thinking, Lean & Agile implementation and Speculative and Imagineering Design. Design Thinking runs through our veins, and because we see the importance of customer centricity, everything that we do will be designed together with you! All our services can be customized exactly to your needs.

SERVICE DESIGN THINKING

Service Design Thinking is an increasingly popular approach to innovation that operates based on 5 important principles. It’s a mindset, a way of working (….and a way of life) that drives you to be human-centered, holistic and explorative. It is a process that fosters multidisciplinary co-creation, that is fastpaced and cyclical and that forces you to make the intangible tangible. If you equip yourself with the rich toolbox that the Design Thinking field offers you will be equipped to design the best solutions for your customers, and go from idea to impact, full-speed.

AGILE & LEAN IMPLEMENTATION

Complementary to our Service Design focus, we use the important principles from the Lean and Agile disciplines to turn (y)our service concepts into actionable plans. Examples of important principles that we use in our innovation expeditions, as well as what we cover in our educational tracks are: challenging your assumptions and validating early (fail fast and fail cheap), the iterative nature of project management: responding to change over following a plan, and starting with the minimum viable product.

SPECULATIVE DESIGN & IMAGINEERING

It is a form of design that can help us to define the most desirable futures, and avoid the least desirable.’ – Anthony Dunne & Fiona Raby

What if we imagined the day after tomorrow…? Traditional strategies which create future scenarios by prediction is no longer adequate. Rather than always reacting to an uncertain predicted future scenario, we need to explore the key ideas around the complexities of uncertainty and ambiguity. The crystal ball idea of looking into the future may no longer be necessary if we can change our mindset and learn how to get better at our own proactive vision.

In our approach we challenge you to debate about the future, to let go of existing boundaries and to let go of your assumptions. We push you to be the game changers, and drive your organization to real innovation.

‘If you are working on something exciting that you really care about, you don’t have to be pushed. The vision pulls you.’ Steve Jobs.
